From Discarded Textiles to Furniture

Responsibility is not limited to workwear, and the textile industry is one of the most polluting industries in the world. Hesburger is doing its part by turning old uniforms into outdoor furniture.

In 2024 - 2025, 5,000 kg of discarded textiles have been used as raw material for Hesburger terrace furniture. Our terrace furniture contains 60% composite, which is made of removal textiles, the rest being plastic to be removed, as well as binders. In this way, we give the materials that are being discarded a new life and reduce waste.

The durable outdoor furniture is produced in cooperation with Touchpoint. It is stylish, can withstand heavy use, and lasts up to 50 years. Even after that, the composite material can be reshaped into new utility items.
