Procurement

The standard Hesburger selection includes dozens of products made out of more than one hundred different raw ingredients. Controlling the delivery chain of each individual raw ingredient down to primary production is difficult, and so this process is based on precisely defined requirements and the goods suppliers’ commitment to comply with them.

Hesburger procurement is centralized and the various raw ingredient options are always tested at the product development stage. The choice of raw ingredients is affected by many things, such as taste, quality, availability, the place of origin, price and delivery reliability. Based on these criteria, the company selects the raw ingredients that are the most suitable for Hesburger. The company strives to acquire a number of different raw ingredients from the same goods suppliers. This helps with auditing and supply chain control and makes it easier, for example, to compensate the carbon footprint.

Hesburger ethical principles apply to the supply chain as well. The goods and services suppliers are required to commit to the ethical principles of Hesburger and the fulfilment of this is monitored in conjunction with audits.

Hesburger especially values genuine partnership and long-term co-operation.
