First Employer for Thousands of Young People
Hesburger is a major employer in Finland. Each year, Hesburger employs as many as thousands of people in Finland and abroad. Most of the new employees are young people starting on-the-job learning, part-time work alongside their studies or their first real job.
Recruitment and Training of the Unemployed
In cooperation with ELY Centres and Employment and Economic Development Offices, Hesburger has carried out numerous recruitment and training projects, employing young, unemployed jobseekers as a result.
Hesburger fulfills its social responsibility by offering opportunities to those for whom employment may otherwise be difficult. Entry-level jobs are available without specific degrees or prior qualifications. Training is provided on the job, and employees can complete a vocational qualification through an apprenticeship programme. Job opportunities are also available for underage workers. Most recently, Hesburger has opened opportunities for jobseekers whose Finnish language skills are still developing.
Long-Term Employment Relationships with Few Absences
Long-term employment relationships and minimal absences speak volumes about job satisfaction at Hesburger. This is the reason that employee satisfaction is so important to us and why we want to invest in it. Employee satisfaction is constantly measured and, using feedback, every effort is made to improve working conditions for each unit’s needs.
