Hesburger Code of Conduct
Hesburger’s Code of Conduct brings together the ethical principles and operating practices that guide our decision-making and daily work. The guidelines apply to Hesburger employees, management, subcontractors and suppliers. Their purpose is to ensure that we act in accordance with our shared values: honestly, respectfully, responsibly and with a customer-oriented mindset.
The Code of Conduct supports responsible and sustainable business. In our operations, we comply with applicable legislation, official regulations and international principles related to, among other things, human rights, labour rights, environmental responsibility and good governance.
Responsibility is reflected in everyday choices
Hesburger’s Code of Conduct covers environmental responsibility, social responsibility and good governance. We are committed to reducing the environmental impacts of our operations, promoting the circular economy and developing our climate work with a long-term approach.
For us, social responsibility means fair working conditions, occupational safety, equal treatment, consumer safety and respect for human rights in our own operations and supply chain. We want to build a work community where everyone can feel that they belong and are valued as themselves.
Good governance includes, among other things, avoiding conflicts of interest, preventing corruption and bribery, responsible sourcing, fair competition, data protection, safeguarding confidential information and appropriate reporting channels.
Shared guidelines support the right decisions
The Code of Conduct helps us assess whether a business activity or decision complies with the law, internal guidelines and ethical practices. When making decisions, it is also important to consider whether the action would appear acceptable externally and whether we could communicate it openly to our stakeholders.
If an employee identifies concerns or suspects conduct that is contrary to the Code of Conduct, we encourage them to raise the matter with their immediate supervisor.
Hesburger has a whistleblowing reporting channel through which employees, former employees, job applicants and employees of business partners can report activities observed in Hesburger’s operations or supply chain that may violate ethical principles. Reports can be submitted anonymously and without fear of negative consequences.
If you do not belong to the groups mentioned above, or if you wish to submit a report under your own name, you may also share your observations by email at vastuullisuus@hesburger.fi.
“I believe the current approach is the right one when it comes to responsibility. I recommend that you continue following the same policy of openness.”
